Since Google Wallet allows you to attach your financial information to your Google account, you will have to make sure you keep your information secure. The last thing you would want is for someone to be able to access your email account and therefore have access to your funds in the process.
You should be sure to set up two step authentication if you want air-tight security on your Gmail account.
The next step would be to attach your payment information to your Google Wallet account. If you add a debit card or a credit card to your account, you will be able to send money. If you add a bank account you will be able to transfer any money you receive back into your account.

Once your account has access, you will be able to send and receive money. In order to send money once you have accessed the feature, just open your gmail account and create a new email.. On the bottom of the compose email prompt, you will see a plus sign which lets you access additional features within Gmail. Click on that and you will see a dollar sign option. You then have to enter the amount you want to send and the funding source. Once you have done this, you can proceed to compose the email as you see fit and once you send the email, the funds will be attached to the message.
The recipient will have to go through the same steps as above in order to claim the money.
